While it might have worked in the 1976 Kurt Vonnegut Jr. novel, this mélange of bizarre images and disjointed special effects will leave you feeling more dizzy than enlightened. What in the world was director Alan Rudolph thinking? Whether it's car dealer Willis finding the courage to blow his brains out, sales manager Nolte scurrying around in nylons and garters or eccentric Finney talking to parrots, this surreal garbage fails to deliver on any single level.
Each character has all the dimensions of a Nickelodeon cartoon, but isn't nearly as amusing as the gang from Rugrats.
