Good people can do really bad things for money--lots of money. So it goes for Nivola, a good guy who can't make it on his minimum-wage job. When he gets involved in a drug heist, it's either come up with some fast cash or prepare to donate blood, limbs and life. (Do these deals ever go right?) Witherspoon, who turns in yet another great performance, devises a plan to settle all scores, but things get messed up along the way.
The writing is crisp and the directing focused, with nothing extraneous diverting our attention. A solid effort from all involved.
