Finally, your chance to audit the tax guy. Well known as a terrific supporting player, Pantoliano takes the lead as a state tax agent looking to land a big criminal bust. He gets wind of a Brooklyn-based Russian monopoly running a multimillion-dollar tax scam. The narrative is mostly unnecessary, and Pantoliano's partner, Dominguez, is a bit over the top.
The story plays out well enough, though, especially when it includes Berkley, here a stunning brunette. Basing an entire plot around unpaid taxes is not exactly a recipe for great box office, but it sure beats filling out a 1040.
