Gone With the Wind, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes—There's something truly appealing about the beauty in classic Hollywood films. Flawless complexions, shiny curls and brilliantly red lips never get old.

The style is iconic, recognizable and, with the right products, easy to recreate—the perfect recipe for Halloween makeup. Beyond the holiday, there's one more reason to revisit Hollywood iconic beauty: Westmore, a cosmetics company and team of hair and makeup pros, is celebrating 100 years behind-the-scenes of Hollywood films. Starting with George Westmore, a wigmaker that created the first tupee for Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, the company has worked on films such as Gone With the Wind, Blade Runner (1982) and Rocky. Now, they're revealing to E! News the secrets behind the look.

"To get Scarlet O'Hara's perfect pucker apply a red lip liner in a cross-hatch right at the center of the top lip," the brand cited from the original beauty breakdown of 1939. "Follow the lip line all the way to the outer corners of the lip. Do the same on the bottom lip, but make the lip line fuller. Now, use a lipstick to fill in the lip and blot. Cover the lip with a tissue and dust with a brushstroke of translucent powder to set the lipstick. Now, add just a dot of gloss right to the center of the bottom lip to create fullness."

Luckily, the lipsticks we use today are much more advanced, so you don't have to necessarily use translucent powder to set (especially with matte formulas). There are steps, however, that you should follow to channel old Hollywood glamour. With the help of PRIV makeup artist, Jared Lipscomb, we curated the steps and products, so you can get the look with ease. Follow our E!ssentials tutorial below!

Apply Foundation

Hollywood glam makeup requires a fresh, dewy complexion. Start your makeup routine with primer, than apply foundation with a wet beauty blender.

Apply a Light Hue

Place a Darker Hue in the Crease

Apply Liner

Apply black eyeliner from the middle of the eye to the outer corner on the top lash line. Then, apply the same liner to the waterline. In true Marilyn Monroe fashion, leave a gap between the top and bottom liner to give the illusion of larger eyes.

Add Mascara and Lashes

This look is all about wispy lashes. Add mascara, then take it one step further with falsies. Don't know how to apply faux lashes? Use our E!ssentials tutorial!

Add Red Lipstick
