Colored eyeliner is everywhere.

First we saw the graphic eyeliner look popping up on the red carpet, and now there's another unexpected way to sport the trend. This time we're talking about matching your eyeliner to your mascara, but doing it in a bright shade (like blue) instead of a neutral, like black or brown. (Yes, there is such a thing as colored mascara.)

"It's a bit of a monochromatic look, but it's absolutely wearable," said celeb makeup artist Anthony Nguyen.

To begin, simply create a wing shape on your upper lash line using a liquid liner, like L'oréal Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Electric Blue. Start near the tear duct, and work your way out, making sure to draw the line right up against the lash line. "This is a liquid, so it gives you enough play time to adjust any mistakes," said the pro.

Once you get the wing the way you want it, you can wear it alone, but to take it to the next level, pair it with a colored mascara (like L'oréal Voluminous Original Mascara in Cobalt Blue). "Start with thin layers and build the color as you go," noted the pro. Like with other mascaras, start from the root and wiggle the wand as you work your way to the tips. Repeat this motion until you achieve the color you want.

E!

The good thing about this look is it's all you need eye-makeup wise. "It's fun and it's loud enough, but it's not too overbearing," he explained. Simply pair it with minimal makeup, like a nude lip and a little bit of bronzer, everywhere else and you are good to go!
