Mark Ballas and Derek Hough have proven they can dominate on the dance floor. Time will tell if they have the same hold on the charts.

The Dancing With the Stars champs-turned-Ballas Hough Band frontmen are set to release their debut album, BHB, on March 10.

The prime-time hoofers will debut "Do It For You," the first single off the long-in-the-works album, this Thursday, when the group (rounded out by bandmates Emily Grace, Sam Marder and Harry Sullivan) will perform the tune on Good Morning America.

The band is getting an assist from a fellow reality show juggernaut—the single is cowritten by none other new American Idol judge and proven pop hitmaker Kara DioGuardi.

Not that the boys are expecting to be immune to criticism over their new career path...

"I'm sure that people's first reaction to us will be, 'These dancing guys think they can play guitar now?'" Hough said. "But after seeing up play, they'll realize that this is not a Hollywood move to make a quick buck.

"Eventually, people will come to know that we can shred on guitar, rip on the bass…and that we're five kids who've grown up together and know each other inside and out, and have been playing together for years."

The Ballas Hough Band will continue to play together on the road following the Dancing With the Stars tour and will add additional dates prior to the eighth season kickoff of the show March 9.

It's unclear whether the group will follow in Julianne Hough's footsteps and perform during one of this season's results shows, though both Ballas and Hough are expected to return as pros.

The new season contenders will be unveiled on Feb. 8.
