The Teen Mom OG drama is continuing while the cameras aren't rolling. Following Amber Portwood's Twitter announcement that she is leaving the show due to what she perceives as unfair treatment, her (former?) costar Farrah Abraham is speaking out.
"I'm out of the drama. None of the girls will quit—they like the attention, need the money and their boyfriends need the money too much to quit," Farrah said in a statement to E! News. "I get that Amber is embarrassed of her actions but she flip-flops all the time. She will be right back to filming. This is so dramatic. She could quit and not make it public if she was truly done."
In a series of tweets, Amber said she was leaving the series, but she could return if she was given the respect she says she deserves.
"Sad to say but I'm not going to be apart of #Teenmomog. The way I have been portrayed and treated is unfair. @MTV sending all my love," Amber tweeted.
"If I was treated fairly it wouldn't be an issue but it's been nothing but disrespect since the reunion show. Which keeps continuing today," she continued in a series of messages. "Nothing has been dealt with or has made me feel any safer to even move on with people who have continuously hidden things from the network. The day I'm shown some respect by the people I've worked with for 8 years is the day I'll be back. I've sacrificed a lot for this show."
MTV had no comment regarding Amber's statements.
Things between Amber and Farrah came to a head during the Teen Mom OG reunion show. The ladies, who were both featured on 16 and Pregnant before spinning off into Teen Mom in 2009, got in a heated confrontation over a series of comments. Farrah said Amber's fiancé, Matt Baier, looked like a pedophile because he's much older than Amber. Then Amber, Maci McKinney and Catelynn Baltierra also staged a reunion walkout in protest of what they called MTV's preferential treatment of Farrah.
