As if we weren't obsessed enough with the on-screen pairing of Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore as This Is Us' Jack and Rebecca Pearson, along comes this little story from Moore about who first alerted her to her first ever Golden Globe nomination.

"I was at home in bed because it was 5:30 in the morning, and by boyfriend was getting up to take an early morning flight, so I sort of woke up with him. And then I looked and my phone kind of lit up," she told E! News' Erin Lim on the set of the NBC series. "And I wasn't thinking about it...and it was a text from Milo saying, 'Congratulations!' And I was like, 'Congratulations for what? Did the show get nominated?' I had no, no idea. No idea about the nomination."

Moore wasn't the only cast member of NBC's breakout hit to earn herself a nomination. She's joined by on-screen daughter Chrissy Metz in the Best Supporting Performance by an Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film, as well by as her on-screen adopted son Sterling K. Brown (who scored a Best Supporting Actor nod for his work in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story). And Ventimiglia was wide awake and ready to congratulate all of them.

"Which is crazy! I did. I did right when it happened with Mandy and Chrissy—I messaged Mandy, Chrissy, Sterling and Dan Fogelman, our creator. I guess I broke the news to [Mandy,] which maybe sounds OK. I'm TV husband. I feel like maybe I should be the guy to say, 'Honey, you're being honored and I'm so proud of you.'"

While Ventimiglia may have been unjustly snubbed for his career-best work as the Pearson family patriarch, he was clearly over the moon that his co-stars, as well as the series itself earning a Best Drama Series nod, are getting the recognition they deserve. "There are so many people that are part of the process. It is truly a team sport. So, for me, I'm looking forward to walking around and shaking everyone's hands and say, 'Hey, this is ours.'" Could he be any more perfect?!
