Bryce Dallas Howard looked like a million bucks at the 22nd Critics' Choice Awards.

But looks can be deceiving, as the 35-year-old Black Mirror actress modeled a mustard Topshop dress that only set her back $240. "It's great. It's comfortable," Howard told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. "It's flowy, which is good for this time of year—the holiday season." Howard purchased her dress at Nordstrom, and she accessorized with Irene Neuwirth Jewelry.

Howard was on hand to give the Best Supporting Actor award to Moonlight's Mahershala Ali. Christian Wood styled the actress' ponytail, and Kara Yoshimoto Bua took care of her makeup.

Sunday wasn't the first time Howard had worn an off-the-rack look on the red carpet. In fact, the actress made headlines at the 2016 Golden Globes in January when she revealed that she had purchased her Jenny Packham dress without a stylist's assistance. "I just picked it up at Neiman's this week," she told Giuliana Rancic on E!'s Live From the Red Carpet. Howard added that she actually preferred to buy her own red carpet looks. "I like having lots of options for a size six, as opposed to maybe one option," she said, "so I always go to department stores!"

That same month, the actress also bought the Balmain dress she wore to the 2016 Critics' Choice Awards. "When you're not 'sample' size, or when you don't have a direct relationship with a designer, or if you don't have a lot of notice, those types of size 6 dresses just aren't that available that much," Howard told reporters. "So, what I found is that if something is sort of last-minute, or I don't have a good relationship with a place, then I go to Neiman's, or I get something online. I like having lots of options for a size six as opposed to maybe one option."
