Channing Tatum Isn't the Only Star Who's Burned His Penis

Believe it or not, more than one star has accidentally burned his penis.

As celebrity chef Jamie Oliver revealed on The Graham Norton Show Friday, he regrettably charred his meat while trying to impress his wife. "I was cooking naked at home while preparing a whole sea bass, and I had a new fan-assisted oven. And when I opened the door a jet of hot steam attacked my manhood. It was a weird thing in life—the worst and best time in my life," Oliver said. "Worst because the pain was so bad, but best because my private parts expanded!"

Oliver apologized to his two teenage daughters for sharing the embarrassing tale on the popular BBC talk show. "Sadly, it didn't turn out to be the romantic night I had planned," the 41-year-old chef admitted. "I ended up sitting with some frozen Green Giant on my old fella!"

The foodie finds himself in strange company, as Channing Tatum detailed his own penis-burning incident in a 2010 Details article. The actor's accident occurred as he was filming The Eagle of the Ninth in the Scottish Highlands.

"The only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your suit. We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I'm like, 'Nah, I'm good.' And then I thought, 'Why not?' Thing is, he'd forgotten to dilute the kettle water. So he poured scalding water down my suit. And I was trying to pull the suit away from my body to somehow get away from the boiling water, and the more I pulled the suit away, the lower the water went," he recalled. "It just went straight down and pretty much burned the skin off the head of my dick."

Tatum was taken to the nearest hospital—an hour away from set. He was given an ice pack to numb the pain, but to Tatum's dismay, it didn't last the entire car ride. "I said to the driver, who was ex-special-forces Marines, 'You might have to knock me out, because I don't know if I can take the pain,'" he recalled saying. "'Just grab something and hit me on the back of my head.'"

Once he received morphine, his mood improved. "I had five guys looking at my shriveled, burned penis," Tatum said. "It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life."

Thankfully, Tatum added, the effects weren't permanent and didn't cause any scarring. The actor also made sure to tell Details that his penis still works properly. "I'm good...now," he said. "Now my penis is fantastic! One hundred percent recovered. Put me back in the game, Coach."

Tatum laughed about the experience in 2015 when he was a guest on The Howard Stern Show. "I didn't have skin on my penis," he said. "It oddly didn't scar. It's a resilient place down there. It healed pretty quick." He wore bandages for days, although he had to remove them to urinate. "I'm peeing and my shriveled burnt penis...I was like, 'Why god?! Why did you do this to me?'"
