Jennifer Lopez is the triple threat: she's an actress, a singer and a businesswoman.
However, with her ever-developing music career, we sometimes forget that she actually got her start as an actress.
J.Lo took on her very first leading role playing Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the biopic Selena in 1997, for which she earned her very first Golden Globe nomination.
However, her first film came years before that in 1986 with a smaller role in My Little Girl, a film about a young woman who agrees to work in a center for girls who can't stay with their parents.
After that, she tried out several television roles before getting back into film with 1995's My Family and Money Train.
She continued her career by finding her niche in lots of romantic comedies—including our favorites like Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner—but also switched things up from time to time with surprising roles like Enough and Out of Sight.
