Sarah Hyland is an ultra-talented young actress, but who knew she could also sing?
The Modern Family star recently partnered up with rock band Boyce Avenue to perform a cover of The Chainsmokers' hit song, "Closer," and let's just say we can't stop playing it. Sarah has some major pipes, so consider this an official petition to get this girl a recording contract!
But after a little digging we realized Hyland's latest vocal performance isn't the first time she's blessed fans with her little known musical talent. In fact, long before TV lovers knew her as Haley Dunphy, the 25-year-old was a budding child star with a killer voice.
In 1999, Hyland starred in the big screen adaptation of Annie, singing her way through musical classics like "It's the Hard-Knock Life" and "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile." She went on to make her Broadway debut in 2006's Grey Gardens before reviving her love of musical theater in the 2014 stage adaptation of Hair alongside Kristen Bell.
Earlier this year, Sarah briefly opened up about potentially releasing an album of her own.
"My boyfriend [Dominic Sherwood] got me a guitar, because he's like, 'I love your music and you should be able to write and compose your own music,'" she told Entertainment Tonight.
"I thought that was really sweet, but I don't know," the actress remarked. "Maybe if I start getting bored? I'm not ruling it out!"
