Thanksgiving is all about counting your blessings, falling into deep food comas, arguing over politics over too much wine and, of course, racking up frequent flyer miles. The whole journey from airport to family feast requires a specially curated wardrobe that oftentimes can go so wrong.

For instance, Friendsgiving is like Thanksgiving—only with the family you choose rather than the one begrudgingly bestowed upon you by your parents. Although it's incredibly tempting to go to your friend's house in pajamas, it's always a nice gesture to doll yourself up for the occasion.

Your parents will be forever grateful if you take the time to pull out the extra piercings, cover up those new tattoos and treat your hair to something other than cigarette smoke and dry shampoo.
