So jokes Ms. Stone.
"He has a restraining order against me now," Stone kidded with me last night. "I'm just going to have to stay like a hundred feet away at everything else we do together. No, it's so much fun to work with him [but] I don't know if they'll let us do anything."
Their past films include Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.
La La Land is a musical (yes, a musical!) about an aspiring actress (Stone) who falls in love with a jazz musician (Gosling). The Damien Chazelle-directed film and the co-stars are considered award season favorites.
Gosling previously gushed to me about Stone, "We made two films together and now three, and so you know it's great to work with people you know. I think it brings the best out of them because you know one another, and you are able to help each other in a way that you can't if you're strangers."
I caught up with Stone last night at Catch restaurant, where the HFPA and InStyle announces that Sylvester Stallone's daughters Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet will all serve as Miss Golden Globes 2017.
Stone also revealed what it was like multi-taking while shooting La La Land.
"Singing and dancing at the same time is a real situation," she said. "It was definitely nerve-racking but...but it was galvanizing, you know? You get up there and you just really go for it. If you fail, you fall flat on your face and you learn."
La La Land will have a gala screening at the AFI Festival Sponsored by Audi on Nov. 15. The film is in theaters on Dec. 16.
The Miss Golden Globes 2017 announcement was sponsored by Fiji water and was celeb-packed with a guest list that included Jessica Chastain, Gina Rodriguez, Chris Pine, Casey Affleck, Rachel Bloom, Hailee Steinfeld, Kate Beckinsale, Joel Edgerton, Armie Hammer, Aja Naomi King, Èdgar Ramírez, Milo Ventimiglia and Moonlight stars Trevante Rhodes, Naomie Harris and Ashton Sanders.
