The last time Kristen Stewart stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she was Bella Swan.
But now six years after K. Stew and co-star Robert Pattinson put the five-part Twilight saga (and their real life romance) to rest, the actress has turned her breakout role into an incredible career on the big screen.
Ellen DeGeneres asked the Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk star about what she remembers from those days, and Stewart's response was exactly what you'd expect from the ever so awkward, albeit charming, award winner.
"Really uncomfortable hair extensions?" Stewart joked upon seeing a snapshot of the entire cast. "I look at those photos and I feel like I'm looking at a college yearbook. It was just after my high school experience would have been, so it feels like just after."
The 26-year-old, who was still a teenager when she was cast as the franchise's titular character, continued, "I don't jump right back into those memories, but as soon as you see a picture you're just, 'Oh, god, it's like yesterday.'"
And although Stewart might not necessarily enjoy reliving those moments, she understands and appreciates how important the book-to-movie series was to its fans at the time. "[Twilight] was something I really invested in. It mattered to so many people," she told Ellen.
Kristen mentioned her newfound stardom's pitfalls, adding, "Something personal became not the most personal thing, which is awesome because to share that is great, but at the same time I was 17 or 18 when it all kind of went down, and that's the most uncomfortable, terrible, weird [time]."
"But at the same time, it was good. It kind of forced me to stand at attention in this way," she mused.
Stewart will wrap 2016 with four critically-acclaimed movies under her belt, and plenty more on the way. Not too shabby for a girl who fell in love with a vampire.
