While it appears we'll have to wait a while for Chicago Med doctors Natalie Manning (Torrey Devitto) and Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) to realize they're meant to be together, another couple is about to heat up your TV screens.
That would be doctors Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Robyn Charles (guest star Mekia Cox)—yes, the eldest daughter of psychiatric head Dr. Charles' (Oliver Platt). And no, Dr. Charles is not exactly pleased about the potential romance (though he's happy to be back in his daughter's life).
"It's his daughter and he loves her and he feels guilty for the way that he was not at his best when she was growing up and absent, frankly. I think he sees this as an opportunity to make up for lost time," Platt tells E! News, but there's one problem: "She ain't havin' it!"
We saw the spark between Connor and Robyn last week, but things don't move too fast between the two.
"Our writers have done what I see as a wonderful job of parceling out their relationship. They're not diving in to bed together. They're really feeling each other out," Donnell explains to E! News.
The fact that there are complicated family dynamics at work in the hospital is not a deterrent for Connor, considering he is no stranger to family drama himself. "I think that it doesn't necessarily play all that well with Dr. Charles, but we'll see where it goes," Donnell says.
Chicago Med's fall finale airs Thursday, Nov. 10 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
