Country music stars are vamping it up just in time for the holidays.

It was clear on the 2016 CMA Awards red carpet that dark, sultry lipstick was the name of the game—a very refreshing departure from awards shows past. Let's give the bubble-gum pinks and fire-engine reds a break, shall we?

Everyone from Kelsea Ballerini (who was looking very fit) to Haley Orrrantia and Carli Manchaca were wearing the trend, inspiring us to try the bold look with our cozy sweaters, leggings and over-the-knee boots. You know, the everyday fall uniform.

Like what you saw on the carpet? We found the best dark shades similar to the ones that stars are wearing on the carpet.

If you like her look, go for a lipstick with a velvet texture and shiny finish. Look for a blue-toned red to really bring out your skin tone.
