Halloween isn't a one-night-only event for Sarah Michelle Gellar's family.
In fact, when E! News' Erin Lim caught up with the actress at the GOOD+ Foundation's first annual Halloween Bash in L.A. Sunday, Sarah revealed that her two kids had been getting into the spooky spirit all weekend. "We've been going through our costumes. We had our Food Stirs party yesterday, so we had a set of costumes. Then we're here today with a set of costumes," she explained. After Charlotte Prinze, 7, and Rocky Prinze, 4, wear another set of costumes to school Monday, the kids will then "move into the big costumes for the actual trick-or-treating."
"When I was little, I had one costume," Sarah joked. "Now it's like 30!"

Charlotte won't be dressed as Sarah's mini-me, though. "My kids have never seen Buffy. They wouldn't know who that is. I have a Hermione," she said. Speaking of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the actress, 39, added, "They don't really know it. I was flipping through Instagram the other day and my daughter was very confused. I was telling her that people were dressing as me. She [said], 'Oh, it doesn't look like you.' I was like, 'Well, it was mommy a long time ago.' They don't really know yet. They don't get it. If someone comes to our door, they would have no concept."
Sarah flew solo on the red carpet Sunday, though many other actors—including Tiffani Thiessen, James Van Der Beek and Ian Ziering—showed up to support Jessica Seinfeld's charity. It's an organization that's been close to Sarah's heart for years. "You really get to see it from the ground up. You're really hands on," she said. "I think so often it's benefits and charities and names, but it's not the same as when you really see the effect that you have on people."
