Katy Perry had quite the birthday extravaganza!
The "Rise" singer, who turned 32 Wednesday, began her day by voting early in the upcoming presidential election and then ended it Kanye West's concert at The Forum in Los Angeles—or so she thought that's how it was going to end. After the concert Perry made her way to Delilah, H.Wood group's newest restaurant, for a dinner with some close friends, but it turned out to be a big surprise party for the singer, a source tells E! News.
Perry's BFF Markus Molinari threw the bash for Katy and invited 15 of her closest friends.
"Katy was completely surprised and had no idea she thought she was just going there with Markus and a few others for a small intimate dinner," the insider tells us. "After dinner they brought out a cake and they sang happy birthday to her."
Unfortunately, Perry's boyfriend Orlando Bloom couldn't make it because he's still in China filming.
It looks like Delilah is becoming one of Hollywood's biggest hot spots, as Drake, Ryan Philippe and Lionel Richie all happened to be there at the same time, but separately. Although the groups were there out of coincidence, the source tells us that Drake and Perry talked for a bit so he could wish her a happy birthday. The Canadian rapper celebrated his birthday there earlier this week, where Perry also happened to be in attendance.
Jamie Chung also happened to be there with her girlfriends.
Perry took to Instagram to share pics and video from the party on her story, where she captured her surprise cake and the massive amounts of balloons. "This is not birth day this is birth week now you know," she captioned the pic.
Molinari also shared a video of Perry walking into the surprise party, and her reaction is priceless.
