Does Carrie Underwood work out with her husband? The answer is...

Yes—and no.

While Carrie, who has her own line of fitness wear, is obviously extremely fit, and hubby Mike Fisher is a professional athlete, and they both devote a huge portion of their lives to being healthy, Carrie tells E! News that they don't really work out together-together.

"We more work out in the same space together," the country singer told us when we caught up with her at DICK'S Sporting Goods in Houston, where she was launching a partnership with her CALIA by Carrie Underwood workout line.

"We have shared workouts before because there's a lot of partner stuff you can do," she shared. "Like I'll have to do 50 push-ups and he'll have to run on the treadmill, at a good pace, until I'm done with my 50 push-ups. Or like, we've done this thing where he has to run a mile and the longer it takes him to run a mile, the more I'm holding a wall sit."

As for what kinds of workouts they do, the star says they like to try new things so that they don't get bored with the same routines.

"We're all about mixing things up. We do like kickboxing and we do weight stuff, and if we have a nice gym at a hotel we utilize whatever equipment is there," she said. "And we try to take a class every once and awhile."

But maybe it's for the best that the couple don't train together—they might not get that many workouts in during some months.

"My husband is as wonderful as he is hot, and I feel like that's rare," Underwood gushed about Fisher. "He's amazing. He's such a great dad and he's so supportive of what I do and I'm supportive of him and we just love our little family.

"I've seen my husband twice in the past month, but we'll hang on until we can be together. It makes those moments that you are together more special."

As for the other man in her life, her 1 1/2-year-old son, Isaiah, he sounds both like a chip off the old block and a bit of a mama's boy (in a good way).

"He is a very physical baby. He loves to climb things—but he does love music, too," Underwood revealed. "There are certain things you don't even realize he's picked up but he sometimes tunes in and will start singing along."

Meanwhile, in addition to her disciplined workouts, Carrie keeps looking and feeling her best thanks to a balanced diet—but thanks to all that working out, she isn't too hard on herself.

"I work hard but I cut myself slack," she said.

"I think [my preferred cheat foods are] things that are more carb-heavy, more bready type things, but for me it's more about going out to dinner with friends,' she explained her version of "diet-cheat days." "It doesn't matter what I'm eating, just more about being in the moment and everybody's just enjoying nice food."
