This is not a drill.

Marvel diehards were sent orbiting straight into the stratosphere when the very first poster and sneak peek trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hit the interwebs Thursday morning.

Chris PrattZoe SaldanaBradley CooperVin Diesel and the rest of the alien-fighting space warriors have all returned to star in the second installment of the fan-favorite action flick, which picks up two months after 2014's original Guardians chronicled their mission to stop an intergalactic force from destroying the universe.

And while the brief glimpse clocks in at just under a minute and a half, it certainly packs a punch and definitely hasn't kept moviegoers from dissecting its every second. Ahead of its May 2017 release, here are five things you shouldn't miss from Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2's first trailer:

1. Baby Groot:

If there's absolutely one thing you must take away from GOTG Vol. 2's preview, it's none other than Baby Groot's debut! The waking, talking tree creature voiced by Diesel captured everyone's hearts in the first film (No spoilers here!), so it's no wonder Groot's blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance immediately went viral.

Peering out from behind his buddy Rocket Raccoon, Baby Groot is endlessly adorable and he's even wearing a miniature version of Star-Lord's signature red jacket. Ugh.

2. The tagline:

Guardians of the Galaxy always boasted itself as the uniquely kick ass, confident outlier of the Marvel universe, and from the looks of this just-released movie poster, the second installment is no exception. Hot off the heels from the first iteration's "You're welcome" tagline, "Obviously" seems pretty damn fitting. Posed side by side for the black and white snapshot, the entire GOTG crew looks poised for round two, because obviously

3. The soundtrack:

When GOTG premiered two years ago, audiences raved over the film's classic rock soundtrack; so it's only fate that director James Gunn revived the quintessential "Hooked on a Feeling" track for the sequel's sneak peek. Pratt's character Peter Quill maintains his connection to Earth by listening to the 70s and 80s' biggest smash hits via Walkman, and if there's one thing we can bet on for Vol. 2, it's that the music will be nothing short of epic.

4. There's romance trouble:

From the looks of Guardians' trailer, it appears as if Star-Lord and Gamora's (Saldana) budding courtship takes a turn for the worse. "There are two types of people in the universe. Those who dance and those who do not," Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer tells Pratt, to which he responds, "I am a dancer; Gamora is not." No stranger to comedic tidbits, Drax then deadpans, "You just need to find a woman who is pathetic, like you." LOL

5. Where's Kurt Russell?:

Back in July, it was announced at Comic-Con 2016 that Russell would join the Marvel family as Pratt's father, a living planet named Ego. Now it's understandable the GOTG head honchos want to keep this highly-anticipated reveal under wraps for a little bit longer, but it's important to note his absence in the trailer nevertheless. Two castmates whose appearances in the trailer are making headlines? Karen Gillan's Nebula and Michael Rooker's Yondu, both of which have fans hypothesizing over their now-starring roles in the sequel.
