Madonna and Amy Schumer are the two best friends you never knew you needed in your group.

The "Material Girl" songstress opened for the comedienne at her Madison Square Garden tour stop Tuesday, giving attendees a "short but sweet" performance. Madonna shared a picture of herself onstage and then revealed how she, Amy and others celebrated afterwards.

"So much fun opening up for @amyschumer at Madison Square Garden tonight!!," she captioned the picture. "It was short but it was sweet (like me). I'm forever changed! Love you Amy!!"

Madonna also shared a selfie with Amy. "Love and Respect this woman so much!! Thanks for letting me get on your stage! It was AWESOME!! @amyschumer you were AWESOME!" she wrote alongside the cute pic.

But it was Amy's Instagram that showed the real fun that took place once the curtains were drawn. The Inside Amy Schumer star, Madonna and their pals all formed a human pyramid with Madonna struggling to make it to the top. "Human pyramid starring @Madonna," she wrote.

During Amy's stand up routine, the Trainwreck star read an open letter to the 200 people who walked out of her show in Tamp, Fla., after she made jokes about Donald Trump.

"I've written an open letter to Tampa and I'd like to read it tonight," she began. "Dearest Tampa, I'm sorry you didn't want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now. How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?"

Schumer continued, "After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy. Both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people—who've been tricked into it! And Tampa, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said that he was an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. Shouldn't have said that. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster!"
