Jennifer Lawrence might have a new love interest in her life.

The 26-year-old actress has often joked that she's forever single, but it looks like things might have taken a turn in the romance department. She's been photographed spending time with esteemed director Darren Aronofsky, 47, after the two worked together on an untitled project over the summer.

Reports have surfaced that Lawrence and the Black Swan director are romantically involved.

In fact, a source told the U.K.'s The Sun (via the DailyMail): "Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps but they are really into each other."

The insider added, "Recently Jennifer was working on a grueling project and she relied on Darren for support and they were in constant contact. It seemed to show they were the real deal."

Aronofsky is quite different from the last two men Lawrence dated (who are also very different from each other), proving she really doesn't have a "type."

She was most recently connected to Chris Martin from 2014 to 2015. The pair dated for four months after getting together in October 2014 before they split for the first time, only to reunite in May 2015. However, that August they officially ended things again as a source told E! News Lawrence was tired of him "being so noncommittal."

Before Martin, Lawrence dated her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult for five years. Though the pair broke up in August 2014, Lawrence was still finding herself getting emotional over the split a year later.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer in November 2015, she explained how she wrapped filming The Hunger Games and broke up with Hoult at around the same time, ending a very long chapter of her life that caused her to question who she was.

After being single for a while, she explained that she truly found herself in the alone time. "I don't know if I ever will get married and I'm OK with that," she said. "I don't feel that I need anything to complete me. I love meeting people, men, women, whatever, I love people coming into your life and bringing something."

Still, she is certain about the fact that she wants to be a mother. "I don't really plan on getting married. [But] I definitely want to be a mother. I don't really imagine getting married anymore."
