Kim Kardashian's assistant is speaking out more than two weeks after her close friend was held at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room.

In a note posted on the reality star's app Monday afternoon, Steph Shep updated fans on one of Kim's biggest projects.

"Hey guys, so you may have noticed we haven't updated the app in a couple of weeks," she wrote. "Keeks is taking some much needed time off."

She continued, "But not to worry. We've called upon Kim's closest friends, fam and yours truly to serve up some exclusives. Stay tuned for new posts and app takeovers!!"

The news comes just a couple of days after Kim was spotted for the first time in Los Angeles following her terrifying robbery. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made a brief, 30-minute trip to a restaurant in Beverly Hills where she was joined by a female friend.

As the businesswoman continues to keep a low-profile following her scary night in Paris, E! News has learned that Kim is receiving some professional counseling.

"Kim is doing better but she still has a long way to recover from the robbery," an insider shared with E! News. "Her friends and family have been really supportive. Her sisters and mom have been checking on her every day."

And while Kanye West has had a few performances as part of his Saint Pablo world tour, he has continued to check in on his wife when he's not nearby.

"Kanye has been by her side when he isn't working and calling her nonstop to check in on her," our source added.

In true Kardashian fashion, the family is also putting on a united front as they lean on each other during the difficult time.

"Well, I think it's just a wake-up call to make a lot of life adjustments. This is a really serious matter for Kim. I think that's really personal as to when that emotional terror you could move on from that," Khloe Kardashian explained last week on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I think for us it's all a wake-up call for all of us, but definitely just to make sure our sister's OK."

She added, "Like I said, we're a family. We'll do this together. I think it's important to make those adjustments and to pull back a little bit, I think is always smart."
