Paulina Rubio Joins "Little Sis" Demi Lovato for "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" Cover

"Confident" singer surprised fans in Mexico City with a very special performance

We can thank The X Factor for this sisterhood!

Demi Lovato and Paulina Rubio met on the show and in 2013, and have remained friends every since. The 45-year-old singer refers to Demi as her "little sister." 

So it was only fitting that before the 24-year-old singer takes a break in 2017, that she'd invited Rubio to take the stage during her stop at the mother of two's hometown. 

The "Confident" singer surprised fans at the Palacio de Deportes in Mexico City, Mexico, by saying, "Ladies and gentlemen I present to you one of my friends, Paulina Rubio. Please welcome her, we're about to have fun." 

And fun they had, the two covered Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want Have Fun."

Rubio shared a video of their duet on Instagram and captioned the post in Spanish with, "Thank you for the invitation @ddlovato, I love you little sister! Thank to all the crew! See you soon little sis! Girls just wanna have fun!"
