Before the clock struck midnight, Demi Lovato surprised fans with a new selfie on Instagram. As it turns out, the "Cool for the Summer" singer was ready to go back to being a blonde.
"Goldie locks," she shared on social media while wearing a white sweatshirt with the words "Lets Be Friends" placed under the Republican and Democrat mascots.
In just 15 minutes, the post received more than 145,000 likes as Lovatics shared their honest thoughts on the new look.
Spoiler alert: The majority absolutely loved it.
A new hair color may not be the only changes coming in Demi's life in the coming months.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the singer announced that she may be leaving Hollywood in 2017 for an extended period of time.
"So excited for 2017. Taking a break from music and the spotlight," she shared on Twitter. "I am not meant for this business and the media."
But in September when the singer was on tour with Nick Jonas, the "Body Say" singer teased new music may be coming sooner rather than later.
"Studio bound…" she wrote on an early Saturday morning. "So excited for y'all to hear new music."
