Whatever sense of normalcy we've seen the Giudice family settle back into on The Real Housewives of New Jersey following Teresa Giudice's return home from prison is about to come to an end. It's time to watch as Joe Giudice finally surrenders and begins his lengthy prison sentence—he reported to serve 41 months back in March—so you know what that means: Grab your Kleenex.
In this sneak peek of Sunday's episode, Joe admits that he's ready to just rip off the bandage already. "I just want to go in and get it over with," he tells his wife.
Speaking from a remarkably zen place for a man about to lose 41 months of freedom, Joe admits that he's got a plan to turn his sentence into something positive. "You know what, babe? Whatever mistakes we've made, you paid your debt. I'm ready to pay my debt, and I'll be fine," he tells Tre. "As long as your mind your business and be humble, do what you have to do, nobody's gonna bother you. You either learn two things in there: You either learn how to become a criminal or a better person. So, I'm gonna try to become a better person."
"You will," she tells him.
"You know what, you've got to kind of just accept it, you know?" he continues. "I accepted what I have to do and I'm just ready to go in and get it over with, you know what I mean?"
Just then, as if on cue, his youngest daughter Audriana rides up on her quad. If the immediate tears in his eyes are any indication, that sense of acceptance he's speaking of is going to be tested non-stop throughout the episode.
Like we said: Grab your Kleenex.
