At the end of Supergirl's first season, Kara (Melissa Benoist), a.k.a. our titular superhero, finally worked up the courage to kiss her hottie coworker James (Mehcad Brooks)—just before Non activated Myraid and essentially turned everyone in National City into walking robots.
But stars Benoist and Brooks teased to E! News at San Diego Comic-Con in July that their relationship will heat up—or reheat!—in season two on The CW.
"Like a microwave," explained Brooks. "It's hot and it goes round and round!"
Okay, he'll admit that isn't the sexiest metaphor, but there's still a chance for the duo to actually have a romantic relationship this year.
Here's what else will be happening: "There's definitely some evil going down in Cadmus, and we're going to see it much sooner than later. The hunt for Jeremiah Danvers is still on, and it's not going to be pretty when they find him," said Jeremy Jordan.
Plus, teased David Harewood, "We have some serious bad guys coming into the show this season. It's going to be a lot of fun."
You know, as opposed to the totally nice, upstanding bad guys that tormented National City during the show's first season on CBS.
Another pressing question we'll get answered: What's in the pod? Watch the video above to find out what the Supergirl cast will be facing throughout its second season.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on its new home, The CW.
