It's the end of an era, people. The end of a serious, freaking, early '00s era. Like Von Dutch hats and Ugg boots, every trend must someday die. Today Blackberry announced they are done making phones. You read that right. If you didn't have a pink Razr or refused to get the iPhone, you probably had a Crackberry. Every celeb and their mom had one including Paris Hilton, Ben Affleck, the girls from The Hills, even Beyoncé. Gone are the days of BBM and pins. Say peace out to pings and typing on a real keyboard. If you still have one of these bad boys, you are not alone. Our hearts go out to you. To cushion this blow, and help you get over the tragic news of today, we'll name-drop a few celebs who still use these things too. First things first, though. Why the hell did this happen?

Some of us were perfectly fine living in the past! Well, it looks like making Blackberry phones was not helping the company get much cash anymore. I mean seriously, when was the last time you saw someone sporting a rhinestone covered BB Bold like we used to? The company's blog notes, "Profitability also looks set to continue to rise, as BlackBerry eases out of smartphone hardware and leverages third parties to manufacture and sell BlackBerry-branded smartphones." In other words, they're going to outsource the making of their phones to outside companies, instead of making them themselves any longer. They also mention they will shift their focus on creating "security and productivity software." Good news for the company but bad news for us lovers of nostalgia.

The Internet is basically in tears right now, so to cheer you all up, we wanted to remind you that everyone from our President Barack Obama, to Kim Kardashian, have been using Blackberry's past their 2009 coolness date. We meant it when we said you were not alone! Even celebs like Christina Aguilera and Paris Hilton were spotted with their beloved BB's just last year, according to a celeb Blackberry blog. Rapper Soulja Boy was even parading his around on Twitter. No shame in any of their BB games. We'll miss you, darling Blackberry. It's been a good run.
