Out with the old and in with the new.

The Weeknd debuted his new music video for "Starboy" featuring Daft Punk, and the gritty, symbolic featurette is telling to say the least. The singer, who at one point was just as known for his wild hair as his music, is letting the world know that the old Weeknd—the Beauty Behind the Madness version—is gone. What fans now have is the "Starboy" version.

The dark music video begins with a masked man tying up and suffocating The Weeknd, whose former long hair is visibly display. Once he's dead on the ground, the masked man walks down the hall and takes off his disguise, only to realize it's The Weeknd with his new hair, officially murdering his old persona.

The rest of the music video features the "Can't Feel My Face" singer using a neon pink cross to destroy everything from his past, including trophies, posters, records and more. The Grant Singer-directed video ends with the R&B crooner driving off with a black panther in the front seat.
