Warning: The following contain spoilers from the Suits midseason finale. If you haven't watched yet, proceed with caution. Consider yourselves warned.

And just like that, it's the end of an era: Pearson Spector Litt is no more.

After a Suits midseason finale that saw Jessica (Gina Torres) forced with choosing between the financial fate of the firm she'd worked so hard to keep alive all these years and through all these scandals and the real life, actual mortal fate of her client Leonard Bailey, the fierce lawyer made the drastic decision to step away from the firm so she might be able to rediscover what she loved about practicing law in the first place.

(Hint: It doesn't involve fighting for money and power.)

Jessica's decision to leave PSL to Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) and run off to Chicago with her hot piece Jeff (D.B. Woodside), coupled with Mike's (Patrick J. Adams) uncertainty about returning to the firm as a consultant following Harvey's generous offer, leaves us with quite a few questions to ponder until the show returns to finish out its sixth season in 2017.

Questions like: Is the firm now just called Spector Litt? Will Rachel (Meghan Markle) be inspired to follow Jessica on her quest to practice "do-good" law? When will Mike and Rachel finally get married? And how does Donna (Sarah Rafferty) always know the right thing to say? Seriously, it's like she's magic.

Of course, we've also got a prediction about where this whole thing is going, too. If Jessica's looking to inject a little soul back into her cunning law career, and Mike is similarly uninterested in using his talents to fight for the one percent, we wouldn't be surprised if these two team up to do some good—until they both get bored and return home.

Come on, this is Suits. You don't expect either of them to stay away for too long, do you?

Suits returns for the second half of season six in 2017 on USA.

(E! and USA are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
