Earlier this month, the E! reality star shut down rumors once and for all that she received injections to make her backside rounder. And now Kardashian is addressing those allegations in full detail, revealing on her official app Wednesday that although she did seek out butt injections, her reason for doing so was purely medical.
The 35-year-old has long been candid when it comes to her struggle with psoriasis, a skin condition she was diagnosed with in 2010 after she noticed a large, itchy rash on her leg. She writes that mom Kris Jenner, who also has it, "spotted the symptoms immediately," but it wasn't until Kim's dermatologist-neighbor recommended she receive cortisone shots that the celeb begin to notice an improvement in her skin.
In the lengthy essay, she went on to explain, "So now, every few years, I get a cortisone shot to help combat the inflammation from my psoriasis."
Kardashian has learned to accept the "most visible" patch on her right leg, writing, "I don't even really try to cover it that much anymore. Sometimes I just feel like it's my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?"
And in addition to maintaining a diet free of acidic foods like tomatoes and eggplants, Kim reveals she uses a "topical cortisone ointment every night before bed" to combat the painful rashes she says, "flare up from time to time for different reasons." ft;">Until a cure for psoriasis is discovered, Kanye West's leading lady says, "I'm always hoping for a cure, of course, but in the meantime, I'm learning to just accept it as part of who I am."
