One thing is clear—Gisele Bündchen may have retired from the runway, but her bank account continues to slay on everyone in the modeling industry.

Forbes magazine released its latest list of highest-paid models for 2016, and the Brazilian beauty has, yet again, claimed the No. 1 spot. The 35-year-old has earned a whopping $30.5 million in the last year, placing her nearly $20 million ahead of the No. 2 earner, Adriana Lima, who brought in $10.5 million.

Aside from the landslide in dollars, this marks the 14th (!) consecutive year that Bündchen has been the top earner, being named the highest-paid model every year since 2002.

So, how does she do it?! Well, it has a lot to do with the wealth gained from her multiple businesses and projects aside from her catwalk career.

In exchange for the runway, Bündchen continues to book major fashion campaigns with iconic brands, in addition to her various business ventures. According to Forbes, the former Victoria's Secret model has earned over $430 million since the start of her decades-spanning career, and the number continues to increase.

As Forbes noted in their article, "She banks big from lucrative fragrance and beauty deals with Chanel , Carolina Herrera and Pantene, plus advertisements for Arezzo shoes and SkyTV in her native Brazil. More than a clotheshorse, her own line of lingerie and skincare help set her earnings apart."

While Gisele continues to dominate the lists each year, this year's biggest gain went to Kendall Jenner, who managed to claim the No. 3 and saw her earnings increase 150 percent to $10 million in 2016. And while she maintains bookings, a new factor that has played a role in this success is social media.

Jenner's 64.4 million Instagram followers—more than anyone else on the list—has helped launch her into million-dollar deals with the likes of Estée Lauder and Calvin Klein.
