Apple Music will be the new home to Carpool Karaoke, CBS Television Studio's new series with James Corden and Ben Winston as creators and executive producers. For those who haven't seen the viral videos, the concept started on The Late Late Show With James Corden where the host drives around with a celebrity (including Michelle Obama) and sings along to their hits and other popular songs. The host for the new series has not been set.
Look for the Carpool Karaoke series to take the celebrities involved to meaningful places and surprise fans.
"We couldn't be more excited to be partnering with Apple Music on this exciting new series of Carpool Karaoke," Winston, executive producer of The Late Late Show With James Corden and Carpool Karaoke, said in a statement. "The joy of Carpool is both the intimacy it creates, while seeing the love our passengers have for music. Where better to showcase that than with Apple Music."
A new episode will debut each week. No premiere date has been set.
"We love music, and Carpool Karaoke celebrates it in a fun and unique way that is a hit with audiences of all ages," Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of internet software and services, said in a statement. "It's a perfect fit for Apple Music—bringing subscribers exclusive access to their favorite artists and celebrities who come along for the ride."
Have no fear: Corden will still be taking celebrities for rides and busting out some tunes. Carpool Karaoke will remain a recurring segment on The Late Late Show.
