Splash NewsTom Hiddleston has finally given his first interview about girlfriend Taylor Swift, and it's...interesting.
Hiddleswift are on the Gold Coast in Australia while the British actor films Thor: Ragnarok, the latest of the couple's many, many travels. As fans (and anyone with an Internet connection, really) know, Tom and Taylor have traveled to Nashville, England, Italy and now Australia all in a month's time. They've partied at her house in Rhode Island over the Fourth of July, where Hiddleston now (probably) famously donned an I Heart T.S. T-shirt and met her entire squad.
For all intents and purposes, this relationship has been in the public eye—literally—since they were caught kissing on the beach. They've held hands for the cameras, kissed for the cameras and gave a couple of waves for the cameras. But when an Australian reporter approached Tom before taking off on a run, he awkwardly dodged and wouldn't answer the questions.
"How is Taylor enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast?" the reporter asked, getting an uncomfortable and awkward chuckle from The Night Manager star. Tom stammered for a bit before settling on this answer: "I'm not going to answer that, if it's all right."
Tom then scampered off onto his run, but when he finally came back the reporter was still there with more questions. She asked him what they were looking forward to doing while spending time Down Under, and Tom gave her a brush off with "I don't know." Tom did, however, take time to meet with eager fans, take pictures with them and even answer their questions, resulting in tears from many overwhelmed young girls.
The question remains, though, if Hiddleswift is such a public couple, why won't Tom answer these basic questions? They're hardly invasive, as they really only ask if they plan on sightseeing or not. Given their touristy trip to Rome's Coliseum, that seems like a fair question.
There are tons of conspiracy theories flying around this couple. From recording a music video to secretly vying to be the next James Bond and Bond girl, fans and haters alike have come together to try to crack this relationship. Could Tom's dodging of questions become further evidence in the theory that this is a farce, or could it mean he's just a gentleman who doesn't kiss and tell (kissing for the cameras is OK)?
Only time will tell.
