Hollywood romance is a tale as old as time. Boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy and girl plaster news of their love all over town until it falls apart in a big public meltdown.
We've seen it happen a million times before. Yet somehow, whenever word comes of a new Hollywood pairing we remain as optimistic as ever. Call us hopeless romantics, but we just want relationships to work out. Today's couples crush du jour is a young Brooklyn Beckham and Chloe Grace Moretz, two starry-eyed youths with their whole lives stretched out before them. What could go wrong? Nothing, if you asked us.
That's because we're betting our money on these two—if Hollywood relationships were a gambler's game, we'd be all in. There's just something about this particular relationship that feels so much more...adorable than the rest of young Tinseltown. They've got their youth and they're totally gaga for each other and we somehow don't want to barf; that's the true test of a picture perfect relationship. Let us convince you.
They actually waited an appropriate amount of time to announce their relationship. In fact, it could even be considered an obscenely long amount of time. Beckham and Moretz have been rumored to be a couple since way back in 2014, having inconspicuously attended several events together, but it wasn't until this past spring that they "announced" their pairing.
Beckham took to Instagram to make things official, posting a sweet black-and-white pic of the twosome and even going so far as to leave the Instagram caption-less. Oh, the restraint! Now, before you go calling foul on the choice to make said "official" announcement on social media in the first place, let's remember that Brooklyn and Chloe are 17 and 19 years old, respectively. Millennials will be millennials.
They make a gorgeous red carpet pairing. Don't believe us? Just check out the photo at the top of this story, from the Neighbors 2 premiere and try not to get all googly-eyed. Also, if you want to go beyond the surface-level qualities of their mutual beauty (although we're not really sure why you would), this red carpet debut also highlights some of their great qualities as a couple—and as people.
For this particular occasion Brooklyn decided to fly in at the last minute and surprise Chloe by accompanying her to her big event. And on top of all that, he made sure it was all about her career instead of their relationship, and hung in the background after picture time so that she could get the attention she was due during the interviews without potentially being overshadowed. Now that's not something you see every day.

Chloe is honest about the struggles of dating in Hollywood. Plenty of young, famous couples (and we won't name any names here) enjoy glossing over the realities of life in the spotlight in favor of donning rose-colored glasses. That can often spell the demise of a relationship, because sooner or later the reality check will come. Instead, Moretz has been vocal about the downsides.
She told InStyle UK about her insecurities, saying of her new boyfriend, "You already know what I look like in a bathing suit. You know what I look like in a sex scene. You know what I look like when I say 'I love you' to someone. You've already seen it all." Amen, sister.
He's already got an in with her family. The Moretz clan is made up of four very protective older brothers, something that a lot of significant others wouldn't exactly be jazzed about taking on. But apparently Brooklyn isn't one to intimidated easily—he's even been known to correspond with the bros secretly. Of course, the same can't be said for his family, because we all know the Beckhams are a dream. There isn't a young actress in Hollywood who would be upset about spending time with Posh and Becks.
They can joke about their relationship.
What does every pairing need, regardless of its level of fame? A healthy dose of self-deprecation. In this couple's case, they poke fun at being followed by the paparazzi. You may as well get used to it now, because those pesky photogs aren't going away anytime soon.
They went to Disneyland. The couple who rides the Tower of Terror together stays together; everyone knows that.
