Watch: "America's Got Talent" Judges Gush Over Simon Cowell

When it comes to America's Got Talent this season, all the headlines might just read Heidi Klum vs. Simon Cowell. (Until we all start obsessing over our favorites in the competition, that is.)

The American Idol alum (and creator of AGT) joins the NBC reality series for season 11 as a first-time judge, replacing outgoing mainstay Howard Stern—and there instantly appears to be a bit of friendly rivalry between the caustic Brit and the gorgeous supermodel. E! News recently caught up with the pair, along with fellow judges Howie Mandel and Mel B. and host Nick Cannon, at NBCUniversal's Summer Press Day 2016, where we gained some insight into the impact Cowell's made on the series and caught a glimpse of his funny new feud.

"He is the boss-man himself. He invented America's Got Talent and he is a whole lot of fun," Klum gushed when asked Cowell's involvement in the series. "I feel like it is more lighter this year. We're laughing more, having more fun."

Of course, she then added: "And I'm giving him a makeover." Not a fan of the deep V-neck shirts and jeans that Cowell rocked for years as he sparred alongside the likes of Paula Abdul on Idol and Demi Lovato on The X-Factor, his new sparring partner seems serious about shaking up his look. "I told him," Klum added. "He shook my hand. He promised."

When we broached the topic with Cowell himself, he feigned hurt feelings at the idea (after labeling Klum and her "death ray" stare the meanest judge on AGT). "I've thought about this a lot, he said. "Which is really saying I look horrible. 'I don't like the way you look.' Coming from a supermodel, it hurts."

To find out whether he took Klum up on her offer, you'll have to press play on the video above and tune in to the premiere. And to see the rivalry in action, be sure to check out the behind-the-scenes clip, exclusive to E! News below.
