AKM-GSIKate Hudson had a run in with her ex, Matthew Bellamy, and his new girlfriend Elle Evans.
The former couple both attended the opening night party of Soho House Malibu, which was was hosted by Casamigos Tequila co-founder Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford along with James Corden and Julia Carey, and even though they maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of their 4-year-old son, Bingham, it looks like Kate and the Muse rocker kept their distances Thursday night. But a source tells E! News that Matthew and his model girlfriend kept cozy throughout the evening.
"Matt and Elle were slow dancing together by the bar and were super affectionate together," the eyewitness tells us. "They stayed upstairs most of the night. They kept to themselves and didn't really talk to anyone."
Kate, who showed up to the party solo, "stayed downstairs for the rest of the night" after making her way upstairs for a bit. The Rock the Kasbah actress donned a black maxi dress with a black leather jacket and chunky cork heels. She looked like she had spent some time in the sun, as she also rocked a glowing tan.
Evans also looked gorgeous at the party, opting for white jeans and a cropped striped top.
Since Kate and Matthew's split, Goldie Hawn's daughter has been linked to Nick Jonas, although neither confirmed any relationship. The two were spotted at Carbone in New York City earlier this month, where an onlooker told E! News that they shared some flirtatious moments. There were lots of laughs at the table, said the source, and even more Italian food to be passed around.
Don't read too much into their fun night out, as Nick as made it clear time and time again that he is "very single". Kate also went out on a date with football player J.J. Watt in April, so she, too, is playing the field.
"I can't say hello to anybody without [people speculating we're together]," she joked to InStyle. "I don't comment when I'm single because some of them are right, some of them are wrong. But I end up with everybody anyway! I've been linked to every one of my brother's best friends. We're going to do a coffee table book of all of my 'mystery men.'"
