Celeb makeup artist Julianne Kaye knows her beauty products. She's spent years on set, on shoots and working with celebs like Tia Mowry, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez, mastering the art of the makeup hack. Got a problem? She has a genius answer. For this month's column, the pro tackles melted makeup. Hey, in the summer heat, it's a problem for even the most beautiful A-listers.

When it comes to sweat-proofing your makeup, it's not necessarily about technique as much as it is about choosing the right products. So drum roll, please, because here's a list of my top picks.

1. Primer

Believe it or not, milk of magnesia works as a great primer. I swear by this when I'm doing shoots in tropical climates or on a beach shoot when I know I'm going to be outside all day.

2. Foundation

First of all, heavy foundation in the summer is just not a good idea, but if you must, then go for Smashbox Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation. This truly stays in place and is also hydrating but transfer resistant, so it doesn't turn into a mudslide.

3. Powder

Kat Von D Lock-It Powder: The name, as it suggests, says it all. I really love this powder because it's not heavy but it gives great coverage that goes the distance. If you need to touch up, blotting papers are the way to go. You don't want to keep layering powder over powder; otherwise, it gets cakey.

4. Brow Sealant

Brows can be tricky, especially if you have very sparse ones to begin with. So when I need them to stay put, it's all about the layering technique. First I map out the shape of the brow with a pencil, then I really lock it in with cream and powder. To seal the deal, and what truly makes it water resistant, is Model in a Bottle Eye Sealant. (On a side note, I'm getting my eyebrows micro-bladed soon, and I will keep you guys posted on that! Basically, I will never have to fill my brows in again!)

5. Liner

Although it doesn't boast that it's a waterproof product, the Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop Stick Eyeshadow does not move once it's on, and the best thing is the color range and durability. You're able to take it on the go for touch-ups and it doubles up as an eyeliner as well. I also want to give a big shout-out to a cult fave to Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils

6. Mascara

Hands down, when it comes to mascara, I always go for drug-store brands. They honestly work amazingly and won't break the bank. I'm obsessed with Covergirl LashBlast Volume for summer because you get the best of both worlds: sky-high full lashes and you can swim all day long and look super gorgeous. If you're going on vacation and really don't want to deal with makeup at all, then you can get a full set of lash extensions. Every morning, you'll awake looking like a diva.

7. Lips

For lips, go for a matte formula either as a base or alone. If you prefer a glossy lip, the matte formula locks in a base color, so you don't have to touch up as frequently. I personally love the wearability and colors by Girlactik.
