Blake Shelton needs a whole lot of sake to wash down his culinary fear—sushi.

The Voice coach got comfortable with Jimmy Fallon for a long evening of raw fish and rice wine. "Why are you doing this?" the Oklahoma-born star asked the late-night host."Because I love you—that's all. We're going to have fun!" Fallon promised.

And fun they certainly had. To start, the country singer was introduced to pickled ginger followed by nigiri.

"The texture is play dough, but I will say this to you right now man to man: I like that," the star admitted.

However, he wasn't so keen on the next course of sashimi. "Can we get more of that rice wine?"

It was a common request Shelton would make throughout the meal as they continued to taste shitasu, jumbo prawns and uni. Shelton was a bit confused about the latter.

"You said gonads," he joked as the waitress described the dish of sea urchin. "I'm going to pretend like this isn't happening."

Despite his misgivings, Shelton took the shot of sea urchin like a pro, while Fallon embarrassingly struggled.

"C'mon, you don't want to be that guy," the singer taunted.

When they arrived at the last mystery course, the host assured Blake it was going to blow his mind.

Drumroll, please. It was a....Big Mac.

"You earned it, buddy," Fallon toasted. "Two more rice wines!"
