It's that time, people—time for The Voice to crown another champion.

Which of the final four remaining singers will follow in the footsteps of season nine winner Jordan Smith? Was it initial frontrunner Alisan Porter, the former child actress (Curly Sue) with the sublime country-rock voice on Team Christina? Was it country crooner Adam Wakefield, the soulful Nashville songwriter on Team Blake? Was it preschool teacher Hannah Huston, the quirky educator with pop sensibilities on Team Pharrell? Or was it guitar god Laith Al-Saadi, the bluesy singer with the epic beard on Team Adam?

Most importantly, since coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine have multiple wins under their belts and Pharrell Williams has one of his own, would this be Christina Aguilera's chance to be the first female coach to win the show?

Ultimately, like last season, no one could top the initial frontrunner and Alisan Porter wound up taking home the top prize. Porter remained on the top of the charts and earned the coaches' praise every week for a damn good reason. The mom of two young, adorable children (with husband Brian Autenrieth) managed to move her coach to tears on multiple occasions—and the emotion managed to move Voice voters, too.

Porter's win means that for the very first time, a female coach has won The Voice.

Yesterday Aguilera gushed to E! News, "If anybody can do it, it's her," she told us on the red carpet before the last performance show. "She knows everything. She's so prepared. She's just amazing. She's got the right attitude, she's in the moment and she's living for everything. She's killing it."

After her mentee's final performance, she thanked Porter for choosing her as a mentor. "Thank you so much for trusting me," she said. "You're an inspiration for everybody and anybody that literally has a dream and just wants a second chance. You're the definition of The Voice."
