Congratulations are in order!

Former The Bachelorette season five contestant Michael Stagliano and his wife, Emily are expecting their first child, according to People. Michael opened up to the magazine about how he and Emily have been breaking the news to friends and family.

"For our family, we did something a bit more special, but for our close friends, we've just been blindsiding them in conversation," Michael, 32, shared. "And the reactions are so great."

Of course, that isn't the only news they're sharing. Not only are they expecting their first child together, they also know what the sex of their baby is—a boy! Michael said he and Emily, who have been married for two years, didn't want to conceive right away, but plans changed when he met his niece. "We knew that we wanted to wait a tiny bit after we got married," he shared. "As soon as we got to hold [our niece] Addison, that gave us a little bit of baby fever."

"[Their son] Austin was born in March and our little guy will be here in early November, so they'll be close in age," added 31-year-old Emily.

Emily admitted she hasn't been suffering from morning sickness, but her cravings have already kicked in. "There have been many nights where Michael will voluntarily go out and get ice cream for us," she admits. "He'll say, 'No no no, you stay here, I'll go out and get us some ice cream.' He's been very sweet."

Ever the doting husband, Michael has proven to his wife that he will be a great dad. "I know he will be present and ready to help and making that kid's day every single day with his smile and his energy," Emily said. "I know that our son will be very well loved because Michael's [his] dad."

Even though their son isn't born yet, the Staglianos already have come up with a name—but they won't be sharing that bit of information until he arrives. "We talked about our kids' names a few months into dating," Emily confessed.

"Totally healthy to talk about baby names on date number three!" Michael joked. "[But] it worked out for us."
