Gilmore Girls is getting a dose of Scandal with Dan Bucatinsky. The Emmy winner, who is also an active producer behind the scenes on shows such as Who Do You Think You Are?, Grey's Anatomy, Lipstick Jungle and The Comeback, is heading to Stars Hollow for the Netflix revival of Gilmore Girls.

Bucatinsky shared his casting on Instagram with the below image. Later he tweeted an image with Alexis Bledel and indicated he was working with just her. Perhaps he's a coworker of Rory's? "What a blast today on #gilmoregirls with @alexisbledel -- @thelaurengraham missed  the fun," he said.

His other acting gigs include Web Therapy, Marry Me, The Comeback, In Plain Sight and the upcoming 24: Legacy.

Request for comment from Netflix and Warner Bros. was not immediately returned. Bucatinsky is just one of the many new faces joining the cast. Other new additions include Sutton Foster and Mae Whitman, bu the cast of the four movies that make up the revival is primarily from the show's original run. Along with Lauren Graham, Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop, original stars Melissa McCarthy, Jared Padalecki, Matt Czuchry, Milo Ventimiglia, Liza Weil, Keiko Agena and Yanic Truesdale are returning—and that's just the tip of the iceberg for returning faces!

One original star almost wasn't a part of the revival. Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said McCarthy was too busy to return to the role of Sookie St. James and then McCarthy said she was never asked to. Things escalated from there with no real ill will coming from either party, just lots of hopes. All that changed when McCarthy announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she would be returning.

"I went back for a set visit and to see all the sets and everybody back in those shoes again—I got really sentimental. It was nice," McCarthy told E! News at the Time 100 gala. "I think [fans] are going to be really happy. I think they're going to be thrilled."

No premiere date for the Gilmore Girls revival has been set.
