The Internet went crazy with speculation over Taylor Swift making a cameo in X-Men: Apocalypse when producer Simon Kinberg tweeted a photo beside the singer and a few of the film's stars, including Sophie Turner and James McAvoy, this summer.

While Turner told E! News definitively that Taylor would not be featured in the film, rumors began swirling again on Friday after she tweeted a photo of Tye Sheridan (Cyclops) holding up a Dazzler record. But it was the caption that had everyone talking, hinting at a T.Swift connection.

"#FBF that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favorite singer's album (pre 1989, of course)," she wrote.

The Internet immediately began speculating that the person on the record is, in fact, Taylor, and that it signifies she would be playing Dazzler—a mutant with the ability to convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams—in the new film.

However, a source tells E! News this is, unfortunately, not the case. "She's not in the film," the insider explained. "And it's not her on the Dazzler album cover from Sophie's tweeted photo."

Way to ruin our dreams right?

Meanwhile, Turner also reiterated that Taylor would not be in the film during an interview with E! News in July.

Despite the fact that some of the cast was spotted hanging with the singer in Montreal (where the film was being shot), the actress said they were simply together to see her 1989 concert.

"No," Turner said definitively when asked if Taylor is joining the movie. "We just went to her concert and then I guess she wanted to meet us and we really wanted to meet her so we just hung out with her for a bit. Played a couple of drinking games. It was awesome."

But in less of a fantasy-ruining topic, when asked if T.Swift is as cool as she seems, Turner immediately replied: "Probably cooler."
