For many of us, getting the chance to go on a South African safari might be at most, just a dream. Blessed be to Google Maps, however, their Street View function has come up with a solution to that problem. While celebs are busy paying zillions to go on these elaborate excursions, you, my smart and frugal friend, get to enjoy the wilderness from the comfort of your covers. Engadget also notes the program will take you everywhere from Cape Town's Table Mountain to Durban's Golden Mile. Sold.

Open up Google Street View and take in the beauty of "South Africa: The Mzansi Experience." Here Google will guide you down winding roads where you'll spot anything and everything from elephants to giraffes. Um, yes, please. We tried it out and included some preview pics of what you can expect to see on your Google-guided tour. Glad to see Google using Street View for an awesome reason, rather than just creepin' on all of our houses and shiz. Yeesh.

Will you test out Google's South African safari? Let us know how it goes in the comments!
