Oh, how Ryan Reynolds has blossomed.
In 1999, the fresh-faced 23-year-old and then-star of ABC sitcom Two Guys and a Girl (which, we should never forget, was originally called Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place) had it all figured out. Or at least that's what it seemed like when Reynolds opened up about his newfound celebrity status in a now hilariously retro interview with E! News.
Blake Lively's hunky hubby attributed his big break to "moving to Los Angeles," adding, "I was an actor for a long time in Canada."
When asked what it takes to make it in Hollywood, Reynolds offered some sound advice he's probably stuck to over the years.
"In this business it's probably a combination of a lot of things," Ryan revealed. "Focus, a little bit of luck and perseverance because it can take a long time."
Fast forward almost two decades later, and Reynolds has lead an enviable career most aspiring actors could only dream of. His undeniable star power has almost always guaranteed mass interest in his movies, most recently for the highly anticipated super hero flick Deadpool, in theaters Feb. 12.
