While Teresa Giudice is definitely happy to be home after her 15-month prison sentence, she also admits it wasn't exactly easy saying goodbye to the friends she made behind bars.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star sat down with E! News' Catt Sadler and opened up about her final days at the Danbury Correctional Facility.

"I didn't sleep the last three nights. I was so anxious," she explained. "And the last night, my closest girlfriends that I made there, they wanted to stay up with me. They're like, ‘We're not going to sleep.' It was so cute. I made great friends there. I met some amazing women."

Teresa says she went into her sentencing thinking that all people in prison are terrible and scary, but she's since changed her tune. Her anecdote from her final night there definitely validates that.

"We stayed up all night," she continued. "I wasn't sure how I was going to wear my hair home. So one of my girlfriends, she straightened my hair. She wanted to make sure it was perfect. We were doing it for hours in the bathroom. A lot of the girls kept coming in to say goodbye to me, they knew I was in there. Just a lot of love and support."

But she wasn't only on the receiving end of the support. She also helped several of the other women get through their time, too.

"I didn't cry [but] a few girls were crying," she recalled of her last night. "This one girl, she was crying a lot, like sobbing. She said to me that I was there for her from the minute she got there. She was terrified, and I just embraced her from the first minute she got there. She said, ‘I can't do the rest of my time without you. You've been a great friend, and you made my time here easier.'"

Teresa said that's what those friendships were all about: "We all helped each other get through our time."
