Andy Murray and his wife, Kim Sears, have welcomed their first child into the world!

E! News can confirm the Scottish tennis star's wife gave birth to a bouncing baby girl over the weekend. His rep told the BBC: "Andy and Kim had a daughter in the early hours of Sunday morning and the family are doing well."

The couple first announced the news of their pregnancy August, confirming to E! News that they would be expecting their first child together sometime in February. So it looks like the little one arrived just on time!

Murray, 28, and Sears, 28, tied the knot in April 2015 at the 12th century Dunblane Cathedral in his hometown of Dunblane. The two dated on and off for about eight years before that. They currently reside in Oxford, Surrey.

Meanwhile, just last month Murray was the runner-up in the Australian Open but had made it clear his family would come first if the baby were to arrive early.

"My child is more important to me, and my wife is more important to me, than a tennis match," he said before the tournament. "It's a big change for me and my wife, but that's the current priority and I'll see after that."

Luckily, he was able to get through the tournament and make it all the way to the finals before his child's birth, falling in second place to Novak Djokovic.
