If you have or have ever had problematic hair, you know this problem oh too well.

Scenario: You're at the office. It's a million degrees inside (or at least it feels like it), so naturally you reach for a hair elastic and throw up a quick ponytail, Amanda Peet-style. It's now nearing the end of the day and you've just remembered that important dinner date you have at 6 p.m. (which you need your hair down for)…but wait! Your hair has literally been up in that pony for HOURS, meaning you can bet there's going to be a crimp in your hair. Options at this point seem limited and you're just going to have to rock that unexpected up-do, right? WRONG. Celebrity hairstylist Scotty Cunha has a quick fix for your incredibly common problem.

If you don't have the time to whip out a 1.5 inch curling iron, spray some product in it and go, you're in a pinch for a much simpler solution. "Use an Evian spritzer, so it doesn't completely soak your hair and lightly spray where the bump is," noted Scotty. "Then grab a large Boar Round Bristle Brush because you're going to have to re-blow-dry the section that's creased." It's literally that simple. If you've done that and you still have time, the expert added, "Use Kardashian Beauty Pure Glitz Hair Spray on your hands and go over any fly-aways. I like the method of using a product on my hands instead of directly on the hair so it doesn't get too sticky."

If that still seems confusing because you're too rushed for time, try this. "When in doubt, I always say KNOT IT!" Scotty said, "Top knots are super cute and easy. They'll also glam-up any look. Just pull your hair to the top of your head, twist the full ponytail in one direction then twirl it down into a bun and secure with a Bobbi pin."
