Just when we thought there wasn't a chance that the Spice Girls would reunite one more time, one member is keeping the hope alive thanks to her latest interview.
While appearing on the UK television special Alan Carr's New Year's Spectacular, Mel B was asked about the group's 20th anniversary approaching sooner rather than later. Could this be the perfect time for a reunion? Never say never!
"I think I'm the one putting all the rumors out there," Scary Spice said on the show. "To be serious, it is our twentieth anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate."
She added, "So hopefully something will be happening pretty soon…I can't tell you what it is yet."
Earlier this fall, rumors spread that the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys would be performing their biggest hits in a joint tour.
When asked about the speculation, Nick Carter didn't exactly squash our hopes and dreams.
"There were talks in the past about it and we had done the New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys tour in the past," he explained to E! News' Sibley Scoles. "I think this would be the last hurrah—the two big groups from the late ‘90s. Maybe do a world tour, stadiums, stuff like that and do a package together."
As the waiting game continues, fans will just have to travel back to 2012 when the Spice Girls performed a medley of hits at the Olympic Games in London.

"Nothing's happening at the moment," Emma Bunton previously shared with fans. "If anything happens and it's concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know."
